Least Concern

A medium size raptor, white head/chest, chestnut-brown body, short white-tipped tail, broad wings.
Usually found in coastal areas, wetlands, mangroves across South/Southeast Asia and Australia.
It scavenges dead fish, crabs, or steals food (kleptoparasitism).

Common all over West Malaysia, found far inland even up to higher elevations.

Common at Sebarnag Perai with nesting records throughout the districts.
