Near Threatened

A slender spindle-shaped shark with a long snout, large eyes, and noticeable black tips on its pectoral, second dorsal, and lower caudal fins, plus a pale stripe on its flank.
It is found in tropical Indo-West Pacific waters, inhabiting continental and insular shelves, from shallow inshore areas to deeper waters.

Fairly common in the coastal waters of Seberang Perai. It is usually taken by fishermen as a bycatch.

Note: Although the Malay vernucular name is White Shark, it is most defintely not a “Great White Shark” Carcharodon carcharias
