The Mud Spiny Lobster is a commercially valuable crustacean from the Indo-Pacific, known for its dull green bosdy, smooth abdomen, spiny rounded carapace, and black-brown eyes and preference for shallow, muddy/rocky areas.

It is fairly common throughout West Malaysia, over fishing or harvesting may have reduced the catch and occurance, it used to be possible to find a few for sale at most major fish market in Penang.
