Greener and Healthier Tasek Gelugor​

Go Green Tasek Gelugor is a community-led recycling and environmental education initiative comprising three strands under the Levelling Up Seberang Perai (LUSP) Programme. Its recyclables collection drive ran across five Saturdays from May to June 2025, gathering cooking oil, used clothing, e-waste, plastic, and paper at Dewan Banjir Air Melintas, with a second collection point later added at Dewan Komuniti Merbau Kudung through partnership with MPKK Nyior Sebatang. The drive was backed by mosque communities across Seberang Perai, recycling vendor Riiicycle, and Life Line Clothing Malaysia, which received collected textiles at its Pelabuhan Klang facility. Beyond collection, the project engaged students through a Black Soldier Fly farming workshop and two Upcycle & 3D Printing workshops run with Universiti Sains Malaysia, while a coastal plogging activity held alongside the Kota Warisan Perai launch in February 2026 extended the initiative’s environmental reach to matriculation college volunteers.​
