Kursus Organik dan Lestari Seberang Perai​

Kursus Organik dan Lestari Seberang Perai is a community-based initiative that empowers smallholder farmers in Seberang Perai to transition into organic and sustainable farming practices. Through six hands-on classes combining theoretical and practical sessions, 26 participants learned techniques such as fish amino acid production, indigenous microorganisms, and composting, applying what they learned directly to crops like kangkung, spinach, brinjal, and yam on their own farms. Nine guest speakers exposed participants to the real possibilities of building organic farming businesses, while an Organic Marketplace let them sell and trade their produce, fostering kinship as well as commerce. An active WhatsApp community sustained peer support long after the course ended, backed by on-site farm visits from organisers. In partnership with the Malaysian Institute of Sustainable Agriculture, the project strengthened local food resilience, forged new connections with the Seberang Perai Tengah District Agriculture Department and local organic entrepreneurs, and inspired several participants to launch their own natural farming ventures.​
